[Exclusive Q&A with Andy Johnson, aka half of Tony Bonanza, after the jump]

::Q&A::

1. How would you describe your sound in a few words?
Lo-fi stoned bedroom pop. That's basically what it is, I get high, go into my bedroom and make low quality under produced pop songs.

2. Name 3 bands without whom you wouldn't exist.
That is a tough question, I have been influenced by a lot of bands, but off the top of my head:
R. Stevie Moore;
SUICIDE;
Dino Felipe.

3. If you'd have the chance to work with any film director, who would that be?
David Lynch, he's amazing.

4. Tell us a bit about the making of these songs.
These song were recorded over the period of a year and a half, the 9 songs on the album were picked from 100's of recordings I had made over the past year. I plan on releasing 2 more albums from the
left over songs that didn't fit on the album "Rockabilly people".
I use a Digitech looper solely for these tracks, there is no computer involved until the song
is ready to be converted to mp3 or wav. I basically make a core loop and then layer upon that until
the song is ripe enough to be picked from the vine.
I use old thrift store keybords, a Roland spd 11 (electronic drum pad circa 1992), multi effects pedal, guitars and bass.

5. Do you still buy CDs/vinyl/ tape?
Rarely, the internet has changed everything, need I say more... I fucking love the internet! I actually
run a website called sickoftheradio.com that offers a bunch of obscured legal DIY music downloads, so I guess I'm part of the revolution.
I do like vinyl a lot, and have a nice collection mainly from thrift stores, but I haven't bought anything lately.
